Hi, is there a way to get .gif files to animate within entries? I only use the personal diary- not the web one.

I need a way to communicate a daily diary to my daughter. That is why I signed up for this. Is this private? Who can view it? I have a medical condition and need to keep a daily diary that my kids can access. Is this secure? Who else has access to this information, including administrators?

Hi Sharon,
You can set up a Private Web Diary in this case, and allow only your kids to access it. Kindly take a look at this user-guide: http://deardiary.my/support/user-guide/set-up-my-private-web-diary/

Is there a way to “lock out” anyone else from signing into the diary program on my computer? I see an “unlocked” symbol, and a notification that anyone can read it, but I would prefer to hide it from others that use this computer.

Hi Keller, yes you can certainly lock your diary if you are using Diary [Starter] or Diary [Personal]. To do so, you may access Options->Diary->Privacy Settings->Only allow me to open my diary, and set your password to lock it. ^_^

I’ve been trying for the last day to print an entry, but I cannot print. It does not even register with any of my printers networked with my computer, which I have a few. Also, I was attempting to set up my subscription renewal, which is due April 2012, a little over a month from now, but I am prompted to purchase a new license and subscription plan. Why do I need to purchase an entire new license? I appreciate your assistance. I love this Diary and want to continue to patronize your software. Thank you, Kathleen

Hi Kathleen, thank you very much for your continued support ^_^
Regarding the printing issue, it’s a new bug introduced in Diary 4.6, we will fix it in the next release.
As for the subscription issue, initially we planned only to allow subscription for customers purchasing new licenses only, but in your case, I could make a special arrangement for you, I will PM you with the subscription order link.
